Paid Family Leave
Paid Family Leave (PFL) is intended to allow qualified employees in New York State the ability to take paid time off to care for a close relative with a serious health condition, assist a qualified family member who is called to active military service, or bond with a newborn or newly placed child.
Sick Leave and Short-Term Disability
The Sick Leave Plan for Short-Term Disability (STD) provides part or all of your basic salary when your are absent from work due to a non-work-related illness or injury.
Workers' Compensation
Workers' Compensation (WC) is insurance that provides employees injured on the job with wage reimbursement and payments for medical care related to the injury.
Long-Term Disability
The Long-Term Disability (LTD) Plan provides a monthly income benefit when you are totally disabled for more than six months.
Family Medical Leave
The Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) is an unpaid leave granted to eligible employees for up to 12 weeks during a 12 month period for a qualifying reason.
Return to Work
The Return to Work (RTW) program identifies and matches your functional capabilities with the demands of available temporary transitional assignments in an effort to return you to your regular duties as soon as your medical condition permits.
Leave of Absence
The University offers the following Leaves of Absence (LOA) without pay: Short-Term Leave, University Leave, and Military Leave.
